GNPC and Niger's SONIDEP Strengthen Partnership to Advance Africa's Energy Ambitions
SPINTEX, GHANA - The Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) welcomed a high-level delegation from Niger's national oil company, SONIDEP, in a working visit that underlines the deepening ties between the two West African national oil companies. Led by Director General Mr. M. Ali Seibou Hassane, the five-member delegation toured GNPC's Research and Technology Center as part of a comprehensive effort to strengthen collaboration across the region's oil and gas value chain.
The visiting team was received by GNPC Chief Executive Mr. Kwame Ntow Amoah, alongside members of the Corporation's management, in a gesture that reflects the strategic importance that both institutions place on their relationship.
Discussions between the two delegations centered on strengthening bilateral cooperation and advancing the shared objectives of the African Petroleum Producers' Organisation (APPO), of which both GNPC and SONIDEP are members. Both sides explored practical opportunities to leverage each other's technical expertise, exchange knowledge, and pursue commercially viable partnerships spanning exploration, production, and downstream operations.
Mr. Hassane expressed his delegation's appreciation for the warm reception accorded them by GNPC and reaffirmed SONIDEP's commitment to strengthening its partnership with the Corporation.
