GNPC Extends Eid-ul-Adha Greetings to National Chief Imam

Accra, Ghana – June 6, 2025 – The Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) has upheld its long-standing tradition of honoring the National Chief Imam, His Eminence Sheikh Dr. Osman Nuhu Sharubutu, with a courtesy visit ahead of the Eid-ul-Adha festival. This visit emphasizes the Corporation's respect for national religious and cultural values and its commitment to promoting peace and unity.

The GNPC delegation, led by Mr. Hamis Ussif, Deputy Chief Executive for Finance, Administration & Commerce, was received by the Chief Imam at his residence. The delegation, which included members of GNPC's executive management and staff, conveyed the Corporation's warmest wishes to the Muslim community for the upcoming celebrations.

In his remarks, Mr. Ussif reaffirmed GNPC's commitment to national development and highlighted the importance of religious harmony in achieving the country's strategic objectives. He expressed gratitude for the Chief Imam's continuous prayers for the nation and for the success of GNPC's operations, which are pivotal to Ghana's energy sector.

"This visit is a testament to our enduring relationship with the office of the National Chief Imam and the Muslim community at large," stated Mr. Ussif. "We are dedicated to building inclusive partnerships and ensuring that the benefits of our national resources are felt across all communities."

As a gesture of support for the Eid celebrations, GNPC presented a donation to the office of the National Chief Imam.

His Eminence Sheikh Dr. Osman Nuhu Sharubutu, in his response, extended his appreciation to the GNPC delegation for their thoughtful gesture. He commended the Corporation for its contributions to national progress and its consistent efforts to engage with diverse religious and cultural groups.
