GNPC Recognised for Strong Financial Discipline in 2026 PFM Compliance Rankings

The Ministry of Finance, Ghana, has ranked the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) among the most compliant public institutions in its 2026 Public Financial Management (PFM) Compliance League Table, published on 19 March 2026. The assessment evaluates the extent to which public institutions adhere to established regulations governing the prudent use of public funds.

In the latest rankings, GNPC placed fourth within the “Highly Compliant” category, an elite group comprising only seven public institutions nationwide. This distinction highlights the corporation’s strong commitment to financial discipline, transparency, and accountability.

Speaking at the PELA International Women’s Day celebration, the Ag. Chief Executive, Kwame Ntow Amoah, commended staff and management for their collective efforts in achieving this milestone and for delivering a strong performance in 2025.

“The Ministry of Finance’s recognition is a testament to the hard work and deliberate efforts of our team. 2025 was a good year, and I am grateful for the zeal and commitment to our vision,” he stated.

This recognition reinforces GNPC’s continued commitment to prudent financial management, regulatory compliance, and the highest standards of corporate governance.
