The Minister for Energy and Green Transition, Hon. John Abdulai Jinapor, acting on behalf of the President of the Republic, has officially inaugurated the newly constituted Board of Directors for Prestea Sankofa Gold Limited (PSGL).

As a strategic subsidiary of the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC), PSGL is pivotal to the national resource landscape, specializing in gold recovery from tailings and waste ore. This mandate not only drives value addition within the mining sector but also fosters economic development in host communities. The inauguration signals a strategic realignment for PSGL, consistent with GNPC’s broader agenda to strengthen the commercial viability of its subsidiaries.

In his charge to the Board, the Minister emphasized the necessity of professionalism, corporate transparency, and urgency. He mandated the new leadership to steer PSGL toward operational revival and long-term sustainability, noting that a focused strategic direction is essential to repositioning the company as a key contributor to Ghana’s resource development.

The Board is chaired by Hon. Emmanuel Nii Ashie Moore. He is joined by a multidisciplinary team comprising Mr. Kwame Ntow Amoah (Ag. Chief Executive, GNPC), Hajia Amina Adam, and Alhaji Ishaq Dauda.

The collective expertise of the Board spans corporate governance, technical operations, finance, and community relations, positioning the leadership team to enhance efficiency and drive profitability.

GNPC congratulates the new Board and reaffirms its commitment to providing the requisite oversight and support to ensure PSGL evolves into a competitive, responsible, and high-performing entity within the GNPC Group.
